FAA-Certified HIMS Psychiatrist

Dr. Adinoff is FAA-certified as a HIMS psychiatrist for the screening and assessment of possible substance use disorders or other psychiatric problems in pilots or individuals desiring to be a pilot.

A HIMS Assessment Includes:

  • Review of Records, including Blue Ribbon Medical Records and all other appropriate records and communications.

  • In-person clinical interview.  This assessment takes approximately two hours. The meeting will take place at 1017 S. Gaylord St., Denver, CO, 80209. The office is in the Old South Gaylord Shopping District.

  • Testing: Questionnaires to be filled out during the assessment.

  • Information from others: With your consent, Dr. Adinoff will speak with others who know you well, both professionally and personally. 

  • Final report: A final report will be sent to FAA with the results of the assessment.

 

Time Frame: From the time of receipt of records, a final report to the FAA can usually be submitted with four weeks.
